Bill Caffrey - UBSC

Photographs

UBSC  >=>  [ Caffrey fotos ]
These are all "Real Film" photographs that Bill scanned and sent along to me. Everyone knows Bill Caffrey to be a man of few words. Well, that held true for the email that these pictures were attached to.

All comments are mine, unless noted as a "quotation" by Bill.
Corrections, or amplifications to what you see below to: email for UBSC Website

Obviously from some 'function' back in the days when our hair had 'real' color.
It pre-dates the 'assimilation' by Norwest.
Bill Caffrey says that's John Rinas over Dick's shoulder.
I thought it looked like Burt McGregor.

... in the computer room -- probably.
That sure looks like an old DEC PDP-8/M on the left.

Great smiles! Everybody at UBSC had great smiles; didn't they?

DIGRESSION:
"THIS IS A DESIGNATED SMOKING AREA"  -- in the image above.
In the earliest era (B.E. - Before Enlightenment), you could smoke anywhere in the building.
In the middle era (P.E. - Partial Enlightenment), you could only smoke in this corner of the coffee shop, and in Dick Headley's office.
In the final era (F.P. -- Flying Pigs), smoking was forbidden everywhere in the building -- along with creativity and initiative.

Wayne Shaffer, Laurie Shaffer

Wayne Shaffer, and Laurie Shaffer.
Now, they had it all together -- both the shirts and the lei's.

Talk about a great smile!
(Actually, he's really happy because he just completed building the strange green GIF there on his PC - pixel by pixel.)

And his Ties!! Do you remember those ties?

Gary never went back to clear out his cubicle. We think his old cardigan is still on the hanger there.

Thanks for the pictures, Bill!
