Seliger, William Kurt
William Kurt Seliger, 66, passed away unexpectedly on August 5, 2012 in Ecuador.
Bill was born on July 5, 1946 in Ogden, Utah to William George and
Bonnie (Brian) Seliger, former Tremonton, UT residents. Bill was a
member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a
mission for the church in Brazil and Florida in 1965-67.
Our dad lived life to the fullest. He was always working on a new
project and racing off to the next big adventure. He was a very
talented, hardworking and generous person. He loved traveling and
spending time in other countries and getting to know the people there.
He enjoyed helping people and would often stop and assist strangers,
buying them groceries or just trying to lighten their loads if he
could. Many times he would include friends and family in a special
project such as sponsoring specially equipped wheelchairs for people
who could not afford them. Dad impacted the lives of many people and
made many friends all over the world. He will be sorely missed.
Scuba and treasure diving were passions that he got to indulge in for
the last two decades for fun as well as for business, bringing him so
much happiness. He loved sharing some of the small treasures he found
with his family and friends.
He leaves behind many loved ones including: his wife, Cristina Seliger
& children Piero and Valeria; his children: Nicole (Keith)
Kopelson, William (Diana) Seliger, Daniel (Staci) Seliger, Jenny
Miller, Stefanie Max, Jeffery (Angie) Seliger, Jenifer (Don) Masterson,
Douglas Seliger, Luke Seliger, Annie Seliger, Kiri Seliger; many
grandchildren: Carlie, Samantha, Megan, Sydni, Brayden, Baylee, Emilee,
Bridger, Ty, Aidan, Cristian, Ronan, Ellie, Eva, Colin, and Avery.; as
well as his father, William G. Seliger and his siblings: Sandra Rodas,
Lisa (Stan) South, Kyle (Timothy) Caruthers, Pamela (Jared) Olschewski,
Barton (Krissana) Seliger and Tracy (Robert ) Armstrong and many nieces
and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Bonnie M. Seliger.
