Joseph Casimir Dernoga
1940 - 2018

On Sept. 3, 2018, we lost Joseph Casimir Dernoga better known as "Crypto Dude".

Joe graduated from St Casimir School, Mt. St Joe and attended Hopkins University. He worked for NASA-followed by the Air Force elite ELECT COMM and CRYPTO SYST. Upon his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he worked for NASA-RCA throughout all Gemini Missions -- followed by the DIA during the Vietnam era.

He enjoyed building computers, was an avid gun collector and loved looking at the river from his waterfront home. He was a patriot , proud of his country and had love and respect for all Veterans.

Joe was born on Sept. 19, 1940 in Baltimore Md. at Johns Hopkins and passed on Sept. 3, 2018 at his home which was his wish.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph S Dernoga and mother Agnes Dernoga (nee Gorska). He was the father of Joseph Albert Dernoga and Suzanne Garcia of Colorado. Beloved Grandfather of Claudia Garcia and Julia Garcia of Colorado...….Deeply loved brother of Lorraine Biernat of Glen Burnie, Devoted Uncle of the late Gene Joseph Miller, the late Joseph Miller and much loved Uncle of Dennis Paul Miller of Whiteford, his wife and 5 children. Loving cousin of Michael Dernoga of Phila…...he leaves behind many neighbors and friends that will miss him and loved him deeply.

Graveside Military Service will be Wednesday Sept. 19, 2018 at St Stanislaus Cemetery at 6515 Boston Street and Dundalk Ave. at 11:00 am. Religious service at the graveside by Rev. Wayne, Chaplain of Hospice of the Chesapeake.

A luncheon will follow at Squires Restaurant on Dundalk Ave and Sollers Point Rd.

Contributions may be donated to Hospice of the Chesapeake and Veterans.
