Raymond G. Willsea
September 4, 1938 — August 16, 2024Raymond Gerald Willsea (September 4, 1938-August 16, 2024) was a dedicated husband and father. A fourth-generation Denverite, his love of the outdoors and the Rockies took him on fond hiking and fishing adventures with friends and family. A gentle soul, Ray was always gracious, while church and prayer was central to his life.
Ray, like his mother, father, and uncle before him, proudly attended the Denver Public Schools, attending South High School. He then earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver in Mathematics. He worked for Denver US National Bank in downtown Denver in their Trust Department. After, Ray met his future wife Beverley while working as a Computer Programmer, coding for their Systems department. Ray also worked for the Police department of Thornton as a Computer Programmer.
Ray had a love for dogs, puzzles, writing, and numbers. He always had a sense of humor to balance life when it became too serious. His ability at the piano was astounding late into his life, despite the complications that dementia brought. Ray passed away in the comfort of his home with family by his side at the age of 85.
Son of Gerald and Rosemary (DeSciose) Willsea, Ray is survived by wife Beverley, brother Charles, son Michael, daughter Jennifer Branch, daughter-in-law Angie, son-in-law Russell Branch, and grandsons Griffin and Malcolm Branch.
