In an email in July, 2008, Roger wrote:
- "The pictures are of Joy Bixby, I/O Programmer/Analyst, running her
first marathon in 1980 (I ran the last 10 miles with her to help
her get to the end). Since she is wearing a UAL
shirt, she may have already left UBSC and gone
to the UAL data center. Photos were taken by Carol Hagen."

Roger paced her for the last 10 miles.
My guess is the two pictures are at least 10 miles apart -- comparing the
two images of both Roger and Joy!
