Here we see more pictures and scans of All Things UBSC that you should remember.

Commentary -- everywhere -- is by Marvin Jones, unless set out in "quotes" with attribution.
Some pictures passed along by John Bragg:

UBC plastic helmet
John:
"The hardhat was given out when they were building the big cash register in the sky."
One United Bank building
UBSC/NTSC cap
John:
"The bicycle cap was given out when Norwest bought UBSC. Norwest colors on the cap, UBSC logo on the top of the bill, and Norwest logo on the bottom side. Some kind of symbolism there, I think."

John also sent along a picture of this cap with the bill flipped up to show the NorWest logo on the underside. I don't think there's any reason for us to see that....

Some pictures passed along by Roger Pelot: UBD marathon bib, 1979

A VERY unusual item passed along by Brian Wood:

UBC Shoelaces
In March, 2008 - out of the blue - I received an email from Brian Wood:

"I am the guy that was cropped off the picture of Dan Buck, Gaylon Kellner, Paula Grady, and Jim Stokes. I work at Wells, and the previous Norwest, but never UBSC.
UBC shoelace aglet
"I got [this] from my mother - my dad, Larry Wood, passed away a year ago, and going through some of his stuff, he had some shoelaces with the UBC logo on it!

"My parents were customers of UBD for quite some time, and my dad was friends with Tom Mauro."

Jim Stokes found a couple of coffee cups:

In April, 2008 Jim was cleaning up his basement and came across these:

The UBSC Tombstone:
UBSC tombstone
Did you ever wonder where the UBSC tombstone -- the large logo on the upright cement slab on the lawn -- went?

Well, Bob Reilly bought it at one of Jack Lea's last auctions.

Here we see it mounted over Bob's fireplace mantle (in 2015.)

....ok -- let's move on to page 3.
